Khurram Dara leads regulatory and policy at Bain Capital Crypto – Bain Capital’s crypto-dedicated venture fund. Before joining Bain Capital Crypto, Khurram served as policy counsel at Coinbase, where he worked on U.S. regulatory policy. A capital markets lawyer by training, Khurram has helped crypto projects and companies navigate the legal and regulatory landscape since 2017. He served as general counsel at Fluidity (acq. by Consensys), which developed and launched AirSwap, an early decentralized exchange (DEX) on Ethereum. Prior to that, he was an associate at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP, where he helped build the Blockchain and Virtual Currency practice in the firm’s New York office. He began his legal career at Cahill Gordon & Reindel LLP and is a graduate of Columbia Law School.
